Not the smallest nail you can shoot through thinner trim but pretty close. Commonly used on the door jamb side of casing trim and also the bottom of crown molding. Use a longer nail such as a 2 1/8" and it works great in the the thinner base trims. It can be used anywhere a small semi-headless nail is desired. The precision point helps identify exactly where the nail will exit the nose of the gun taking the guess work out of pulling the trigger.
