Description
I have a number of “new, old stock” (NOS) items from Greist Products, New Haven Connecticut. Greist Manufacturing Co. of New Haven, Conn., a manufacturer that made sewing machine attachments and Singer sewing machines and equipment for the U.S. Navy during World War II.Greist Manufacturing Company was founded by John M. Greist, an inventor who was employed by Singer to design sewing machine attachments. Greist is the inventor behind the iconic "Puzzle Box" attachments kit for Singer treadle machines. The patent was filed in 1889 by Greist but assigned to Singer. Greist Manufacturing Company went on to produce sewing machine attachments for many different sewing machine makers, including Morse and White. Greist also manufactured attachments for Singer. Singer clearly outsourced buttonholers to Greist in the late 1950's and early 1960's.
I would prefer to sell the whole lot, and am looking for a reasonable offer. All items are in terrific condition! PLEASE – look at the pics, and feel free to ask for more. I believe all attachments are complete, but I am NOT an expert, and I’m NOT sure, so PLEASE ask questions!
