Description

My husband and I have owned and restored over 1000 vintage Singer sewing machines (over 200 Featherweights), and along the way we have accumulated a stock of vintage Singer parts. The parts aren’t doing anyone any good sitting in our workshop, so we have decided to send them on to where they’re needed.
Singer manufactured the classic “black and gold” Featherweight from 1933 until the late 1950s, and during that time they used two different styles of gold trim around the border of the sewing bed. Older machines had an ornate “Celtic Knot” decoration, and newer Featherweights had a more modern “diamond” or “prism” pattern.
This sewing bed extension came from 1939 Featherweight so it has the older Celtic Knot design. Not that it matters because most of it is missing, along with some of the paint and nearly all of the clear coat. It’s not something that would win a prize at the State Fair, for sure, but if your Featherweight came to you with a damaged sewing bed extension, this is just what you need.
This is a genuine vintage Singer part (“SIMANCO” in photo five stands for “SInger MANufacturing COmpany”). No attachment hardware is included.
