Vtg Victorian Antique Recovered 1800's Wool Braid with Velvet

Description

Rare early black skirt braid made as found. Had a previous life. Velvet is sewn at the bottom.
One long piece that is 4 yards and 26 inches long and one short piece that is about 8 inches long.
I show a moth hole and there is one more not shown....these are in the long piece. There is some wearing of the velvet where it rubbed the ground. The short piece shows a lot of wearing of the velvet...the long piece not so much. There are old threads at the top and some nicks at the top.
The velvet is sewn at the bottom with a zigzag pattern like a machine zigzag but if you look with a magnifying  glass....appears to be very neatly hand sewn.
